What the conference is
I am convinced that good professional practice in the equine industry should be based on
continuous development. I therefore invite you to update your knowledge, broaden your horizons,
exchange experiences, and enrich your professional skills based on an understanding of the anatomy,
biomechanics, and pathophysiology of the issues we all encounter on a daily basis. This event is
aimed at farriers, veterinarians, veterinary students, and equine physical therapists who wish to
work together to continuously raise the standards of their work.
I believe that the pursuit of understanding the nature of the case and the desire for growth are
the best motivations for expanding one's expertise, and when combined with up-to-date knowledge
and practical solutions, they provide the formula for improving the standards and quality of the
services we offer. This is not a revealed truth — it is a working method grounded in
anatomy and physiology. Furthermore, I would like to present to you a solution for
combating various hoof capsule infections in the form of ready-to-use, proven therapeutic
preparations, created by HoofsCare to deliver results.
Theory is one thing, and practice is another — but it's only the combination of both components
with the right tools that yields real results. Therefore, the first two days of the
event focus on solid theory — lectures, but ones that are reflected in everyday practice.
On the third day, we move on to the practical sessions — limb dissections,
assessment of horses' limb curvatures, a demonstration of clinical shoeing, and finally, hands-on
sessions in the blacksmith's shop focusing on rocker modifications, culminating in a competition for
the best-executed task.
As part of the conference, you'll have the opportunity to choose a practical track tailored to your
profession and needs — to be selected during registration, along with a description of each track.

Why attend
For the first time, we will have the opportunity to welcome Paige Poss to Central
Europe — one of the world's leading equine anatomists, who, like few others, is able to present
equine anatomy in an absolutely phenomenal way, drawing on her many years of experience and unique
specimens.
Marta Rykała, an equine veterinarian specializing in equine orthopedics, will break
down navicular syndrome into its constituent parts. With her characteristic meticulousness and ability
to convey technical knowledge clearly, she will present realistic treatment options for various forms
of degeneration, providing us with proven solutions based on an understanding of biomechanics and
pathophysiology.
Urszula Krzanowska — I don't know anyone else who is as dedicated and determined to
study the anatomy of horses' limbs — an illustrator, researcher, and, above all, a farrier — will
present her perspective on the anatomical anomalies we encounter in our daily work.
The second international speaker will be Jose Ramon Batalla, who combines veterinary
medicine with farriery in his daily practice; his expertise stems, among other things, from the
clinical experience he gained as part of Dr. Redden's team at the Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital.
He will focus on analyzing the mechanics and potential applications of full-rocker shoes, which, for
many, once the mechanics are thoroughly understood, may prove to be the solution to difficult problems
encountered in the field.
I will personally share with you my experiences gained from exploring the issue of hoof cancer, where
we will trace its origins, types, pharmacological treatment, management methods, and tissue preparation
techniques from start to finish. In addition, I'll provide you with a line of effective care products,
and you'll have the opportunity to see for yourselves just how well they work. I believe that by
sharing my experience and these products, I'll be able to dispel the widespread reluctance among
farriers to address this problem — or at least help soften the image of a condition that isn't nearly
as scary as it's made out to be!
Hey, hey! After all, lectures aren't everything in life, so we'll wrap up the first day with a
banquet, which is included in the price of every ticket option. We invite you to a feast for
the mind and body, because nothing brings more joy than good food and a little buzz in the company of
great people. I hope that everyone, according to their own preferences — whether at the table, by the
bonfire, or on the dance floor — will have the opportunity to meet new people and strengthen
cross-industry relationships. For those who prefer to recharge before another intense day of learning,
a SPA area is available, where you can take advantage of the wide range of amenities
